Hi, my name is James. And today I will be telling you five amazing facts about penguins. fact number one Once the mother of penguin plays the egg the father looks after the egg for ages. Can you guess how long they have to balance the egg on their feet for anywhere between 65 and 75 days. That’s more than two or months now, that’s some good balancing. But number two emperor penguins. Oh huddled together in the snow that keep you warm around. 5,000 Penguins will all get in a big grip and take short turns on the outside.
So that everyone gets to stay nice and cozy now, that’s good teamwork. But number three Penguins can dive really deep they have been known to dive as deep as 564 meters. That’s two of Europe’s tallest buildings on top of each other. They have also been timed the longest dive recorded was 28 minutes. I don’t think I could hold my breath that long. But number four remember we talked about the daddy Penguins keeping the egg warm. Well, they don’t eat that whole time they can go up to four months without eating and have to rely on their fat stores that they build up before breathing season back number five when I say Penguins.
You probably picture a snowy scene. Oh white and cold but did you know some penguins live on the beaches of Africa African penguins like to summon themselves and enjoy their days on the beach.
