It’s important to not bottle up your emotions and talk to someone you trust about how you are feeling. Reach out to your friends or family members who can provide emotional support. Nowadays there are many affordable and accessible resources available for you to use. Nobody should struggle alone. By talking to someone regularly you are taking care of your mental health.

Stick to a schedule, and make sure you’re getting enough sleep. Blue light from phones and screens can make it harder to fall asleep, so you should always put these devices away before you go to bed.  You should get about 8 hours of sleep every night in order to maintain your  mental health. When your body and mind are well rested you are able to take on more in your day and obstacles will be easier to overcome. If you’re not getting enough sleep you will feel the effects both mentally and physically.

Learning a new skill and setting new goals in your life will increase your confidence which can improve your mental health and wellbeing. Learning new skills is useful and can positively affect your mental wellbeing. Whether you want to try something new, such as cook new recipes, learn a new language or reconnect with an old pastime such as cycling or football, continuous learning will improve your mental wellbeing. When you do something you enjoy you will happier and less stressed.
