Today we are going to tell you five Magnificent ways you can meditate. So let’s check our meditation ways for kids.

Meditation Ways for Kids Way Number 1: Find a Comfortable Place

In order to successfully meditate you need to make yourself comfortable and relaxed. One way to do this is by lying flat on your back or sitting in a cosy chair. You can even buy special mediation cushions or chairs which are designed to make your mediation experience much more comfortable and provide back support. When you are deep in meditation the last thing you want is to have to stop because you begin to feel pain or discomfort in whatever position you are sitting in. For a more peaceful and undisturbed meditation, finding a pleasant place to sit or lie is essential.

Meditation Ways for Kids Way Number 2: Visualisation

Guided visualisation meditation is one of the most common meditations that people begin with. In this type of meditation a guide will describe peaceful positive settings for you to visualise such as a beautiful beach or woodlands. By changing our focus to a mental image we can control our breath easier. Guided meditation will help you focus your mind and will give prompts on how to meditate properly. It is also a great type of meditation for those who don’t like to sit in silence and find mediation difficult.

Meditation Ways for Kids Way Number 3: Find a Technique that’s Right for You

Whether you keep your eyes open or closed during mediation is completely up to personal preference. It is recommended that you close your eyes because mediation is about clearing your mind from mental thoughts. By closing your eyes you are preventing yourself from being distracted by what is around you and you can focus on your mediation better. If you find it hard to keep your eyes closed you could always wear an eye mask to keep the light out and stop you from looking around.

Meditation Ways for Kids Way Number 4: Mindfulness Meditation

This type of meditation mixes both the concept of mindfulness and meditation into one. Mindfulness meditation teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body. Mindfulness meditation is all about being aware of what is around you, what you are feeling, what you can hear and it allows you to acknowledge these feelings and emotions and let them go. Mindfulness meditation is a great practice for people who become overwhelmed by their emotions, are anxious or depressed and it can be done whenever and wherever.

Meditation Ways for Kids Way Number 5: Focus your Breathing

Breathing and meditation go hand in hand. It is important when meditating that you do not force or control your breathing and that you simply breathe naturally. Focus your attention on your breath when mediation and observe how your body moves with every inhale and exhale. Focusing on your breath is a great way to reduce stress. When your mind wanders during meditation, simply returning your focus back to your breath will put you back on track.
