Wolves are well known for their howl, but did you know that it has a lot more uses than just a little bit of singing at the moon? Wolves can communicate with their packs over long distances this way if they are on their own, howling can also communicate to other packs of wolves to keep their distance and mark their territory!

Wolves can run nearly as fast as greyhounds, they can run 36-38 mph, but they usually walk around 5mph, but they can do this for hours when stalking their prey and can go long into the night!

They need that howl! A wolf’s territory can sometimes stretch up to 1,000 miles! Imagine your house being that big and being called for dinner!
