Can you imagine how small an atom is? And why atoms are so important to our life? Here are five amazing facts about atoms.
Did you know YOU are made of atoms? And so is everything else in the universe! Can you guess how small they are? Well you couldn’t even see them under an extremely powerful microscope!
It takes trillions of them in order to make up anything, can you guess how many there are in your body…7…billion, billion, billion! That is a lot of zeroes!
So now that you know atoms are small, did you know atoms are made out of something else? They are called Subatomic particles! Can you imagine how tiny they must be?
There are Loads of different kinds of atoms and when they are paired up in different numbers they make all the different materials we have, ranging from coal to plastic, metal to stone! It is all made of different atoms in different patterns!
You know what’s even weirder? Atoms are actually mostly made up of space! Because of the structure of an atom, parts of it actually orbit the other parts meaning that everything is made up of space! That’s hurting my head a little bit!
