You may not know this but Python Programming is not named after what you would expect. When you hear the word Python you probably think of the snake. Well the creator of Python, Guido Van Rossum thought differently. He wanted a short and snappy name for Python so he decided to name Python Programming after his favourite comedy show ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus.’ This was a hugely popular TV comedy series in the 1970’s and was broadcasted on the BBC channel during the 70’s.
