Does your Child Understand what they are Reading?

343

Does your child know how to read the words in front of him/her correctly? That’s not the end of the road, attention should be given to the kids in order to make sure that they understand what they are reading and not just spelling out the letters. Reading comprehension is beneficial because lots of parents and teachers focus on teaching their kids to spell the words correctly and read in the right ways, and they forget about helping their kids to focus their attention on what they are reading and what is the meaning carried behind it. The focus of this educational video is on the reading comprehension; on asking the kids some questions in order to know what they are understanding and getting from the story that is being read in front of them or else the one they are reading, and build a conversation with them about what they are seeing, why they might believe so and discuss with them the story as a whole.
